What is Rocketvox?
Rocketvox is a new product that will let you manage all your electronic communications and social messaging in one place. It runs on your computer (and soon on your smartphone) by aggregating all your modes of communication into a single, integrated application and service where you can manage all your email accounts, voicemail, VoIP, text messaging, social networking, status updates, contacts, schedules, calendars, chat, fax, conference calls, and screen sharing.
Who created Rocketvox?
Rocketvox is being developed by Rocket Technology Labs, a new company formed by mobile professionals and millennials who are frustrated by the complex world of electronic communications and who are ambitious enough to try to simplify it. The team at Rocket Technology Labs also believes that being social does not mean that you have to share everything with everybody. Rocket Technology Labs strongly believes in a user’s right to privacy and in the protection of user information.
Can Rocketvox access my personal information?
No. Rocketvox operates under a fundamental principal, which is to protect all of your personal information and the confidentiality of all of your communications and relationships. You own your data and decide what data to share with whom, and when to share it and when not share it, not Rocketvox.
What does Rocketvox do with the information it stores on its servers?
Rocketvox stores all your information on our servers, your computer or smartphone in encrypted, unreadable form. You are the only one who can access or read that data at any time. Rocketvox will never scan, read, data mine, or sell your data without your explicit permission. Rocketvox is not designed to make money off of your data. It is designed for you to have a place to protect your data, your communications, and your relationships.
How much does it cost?
Rocketvox Beta is free.
Can I access all my email accounts from Rocktvox’s integrated InBox?
Yes, Rocketvox can connect to all your email accounts across providers and platforms so that you receive all your email in One Place.
Do I have to pay for my minutes when I’m using Rocketvox’s telephony services?
Computer-to-computer and many computer-to-cellular or landline minutes are free. North America and international long distance are available at very competitive rates.
Does Rocketvox run on Mac and PC operating systems?
Yes.
What mobile platforms does Rocketvox run on?
Versions of Rocketvox that will run on the iPhone, iPad, and on Android devices will be released soon.
How does Rocketvox filter spam?
Rocketvox is integrating the very best spam filtering technologies from the best companies in the business into our communications servers to protect you from spam, viruses, and unwanted junk email.
Does Rocketvox transcribe voicemails?
Rocketvox provides the best voice transcription technology in the world through our partnerships with Ribbit and PhoneTag. Rocketvox can transcribe your voice mail messages into text that can be sent to you through email or as an SMS text message to your phone.
When I use my cellphone through Rocketvox, does it use my mobile minutes?
Only when calls directly originate from or are received by your actual mobile phone.
Do I get and have to use a new phone number when I sign up for Rocketvox?
No. You can use your existing mobile number for all Rocketvox VoIP and voicemail applications. You will be able, however, to buy a universal number, which we think will be pretty compelling once you have seen how Rocketvox can radically improve your control over your communications and social messaging.
